Mashalle Olomi

Remote Sensing Scientist

I work on measuring vegetation structure from multispectral imagery and lidar — canopy height, biomass, and carbon — across agricultural and forest landscapes. My background spans a M.S. thesis assessing the impact of whole orchard recycling and almond biochar compost on the growth & performance of young almond trees, evaluation of canopy-height products, NASA DEVELOP project on above-ground biomass estimation using machine learning for agroforestry systems in the Midwest, and ongoing lidar production and spatial data analysis projects.
